Re-Enrollment for 2012-2013
Dear Pinewood Parent,
Enrolling a child at Pinewood connects your family to a school community with high expectations, a challenging academic curriculum, countless opportunities in athletics and fine arts, and a supportive and caring faculty.
With the guidance of our Board of Trustees, we have spent considerable time planning tuition levels for next year. Knowing that every dollar counts and you make great sacrifices for your child to be here, the Board of Trustees has approved a modest tuition increase at all grade levels. This tuition increase will cover the following:
- Additional funds for faculty salaries to reward teaching excellence and innovation
- Additional technology resources for students
- Critical campus maintenance and improvements
We remain fully committed to ensuring a Pinewood education continues to be both distinctive and of great value. A report from the U.S. Department of Education found, among other things, that independent school students:
- generally perform better on standardized tests;
- qualify for state scholarships at a higher rate;
- complete more advanced courses in science, mathematics, and foreign languages; and
- are more likely to complete a bachelor’s or advanced degree.
Our school has need-based tuition assistance for families who qualify. The link to access the information is found under the Admission tab. We are committed to help you in whatever way we can in what continues to be challenging economic times.
We are once again offering a special tuition incentive to those students re-enrolling by March 12th.
Please communicate to us any questions you have relating to your return to Pinewood next year. Our number one priority is the satisfaction and retention of current families. There is great comfort knowing our children have a stable, safe, nurturing, and inspiring place to learn and grow.
